No urine or fecal specimen? No problem.

Use IDEXX completion test codes to submit your specimen at a later date.
A veterinarian holds a young dog during an examination.

You have up to four weeks (28 days) to submit a specimen

It happens. You place an order for an IDEXX Reference Laboratories test, and for whatever reason, you are unable to obtain a proper specimen to submit. No problem. With IDEXX completion test codes, you can submit specimens to complete select IDEXX Reference Laboratories profiles for up to four weeks (28 days) from your original submission date.

Just follow these three easy steps

  1. Confirm that it has been less than four weeks (28 days) since the original test requisition submission and that the patient’s first and last names match the exact spelling that appeared on the original test requisition to avoid unexpected charges.
  2. Begin a new test requisition. Locate the completion test code below (or in the IDEXX Directory of Tests and Services) for the specimen you are submitting.
  3. Submit a new test requisition form with the specimen and the corresponding completion test code. Submitting a copy of the original test requisition form may result in a testing delay.

Please note: Completion test codes submitted after four weeks (28 days) or not related to a prior patient specimen submission will be invoiced for the applicable billable test code.
